From points west
and north: You need to get on I-580 heading east from the
24/I-580/I-980 interchange. Exit at Fruitvale Ave, turning left
on
Fruitvale. The second light (the first is still at the freeway)
turn left
on MacArthur. The first street is Dimond, turn right (there is a
Blockbuster Video store on the corner).
From points east
and south: You need to get on I-580 heading west from 13.
Take the Coolidge/Fruitvale exit. The offramp drops you on Montana,
which
parallels the freeway. Continue forward on Montana until you reach
Fruitvale (if you go forward at Fruitvale, you would be getting
back on the
freeway. Turn right on Fruitvale and turn left at the next light,
which is
MacArthur. The first street is Dimond, turn right (there is a Blockbuster
Video store on the corner).
Dimond Ave. deadends
at Dimond Park. The Elementary Building is the 4th
house from the park on the right side of the street (when facing
the park).
It is a brown house, next door to a white building which is another,
different, Montessori school (the Oakland Montessori School). There
is a
small church just before the other school, with a parking lot.
